Everyone can give in your own special way. Give your time, expertise, as well as money. Use your contacts, talents, and creativity. Children, teens, busy adults, and retirees can give.

Consider one or more of the following ways to give:
Spread the word... tell your friends and family, show them HMI’s brochure and point them to our website.
Give a gift donation... Honor someone special with a gift made in their name. Use the Donation Form.
Come to an event... meet us, learn more about HMI’s work, have some fun and a good dinner or purchase an African craft, HMI notecards or a special gift.
Do your thing... help with a mailing, volunteer to work on an event, make something lovely for our Boutique, rake a yard or babysit one day for HMI, make phone calls, bake a pan of brownies.
Use your networks... at work, in your neighborhood, at church, in school or at family gatherings...invite a speaker to talk to your group about the Blue House, organize a small fund raising activity (bake sale, pledge walk, garage sale, poker party, plant sale), dedicate Christmas gift funds to the girls, ask for support from your club, employee group or company’s foundation.
Sponsor... a girl ($40-50/month), school uniform ($10-15), set of sheets or towels ($10-15), food ($50/week), fuel for cooking and light ($530/year), school supplies and fees ($75/month).
Look for inventive support... donate air miles for HMI travel to Uganda, seek matching funds for your gift, work a day and send the wages to HMI, give a party and ask guests to bring a monetary gift in an envelope for the Blue House, sell a no longer needed item (lawnmower, books, furniture) and donate the proceeds, ask for donations to the girls in lieu of birthday presents, contribute food, wine, or paper products for events.
Volunteer... share your talents and skills in areas such as accounting, public speaking, graphic design, publishing, public relations, event decorations, finance, legal.
Write a check... it always fits, is in style and the right color, appreciates with age and sure to be used! Print a Donation Form. Send it to: HMI, c/o SME, 2136 Carter Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108 USA. You can also donate online.
