Outreach

Schedule a presentation about the Blue House, the girls who live there and their dreams, and our plans for expansion of the orphanage. Learn about life in Uganda and the hope we offer to AIDS orphans. Contact us to schedule an event with your group.


Past events
Our events usually are an opportunity to learn about Africa, such as our annual African dinners, crafts sales, gospel concerts, and a fashion show and tea. Some recent events include:

African Dinner -- Saturday, May 8, 2010
A celebration of the completion of the new Blue House. 
Architect and on-site project manager, Jeffrey Potts spoke: “Six Months in Kazo.”


Holiday Boutiques, Annually, the first weekend in December
Beautiful handmade gifts from the Hope Crafters of St. Matthews Church, Africa crafts, and a homemade Saturday lunch.

It Takes a Village African Dinner and Craft Sale, Sept.13, 2008.

Featuring the Reverend Ephraim Gensi, East African Area Director for Compassion International (a world wide organization that provides housing and programs for orphans) and an HMI Board member in Uganda.
