Q. What credit cards can I use?
A. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. GiveMN is our online donation partner. Learn more about GiveMN.
Q. Is my gift tax-deductible?
A. Yes, within the guidelines of U.S. and Minnesota law. Hope Multipurpose Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Be sure to retain your email donation receipt, issued by Razoo Foundation, the GiveMN partner.
Q. Do I need to set up an account or password to donate?
A. No, you are not required to sign up in order to donate to HMI, however GiveMN has some nice services if you choose to create a personal account.
Q. How do I know my credit card and personal information is safe?
A. We take privacy and data security very seriously. GiveMN partners with U.S. Bank to securely process your donations, and uses Verisign, the industry leader in SSL certification, so that your personal information is vigorously protected.
Q. Do you share my email address, telephone number or mailing address?
A. No. HMI does not share your personal information, donation activity, or e-mail address with any other organization or individual. GiveMN will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone outside of GiveMN. You also have an anonymous donation option, if you prefer not to share your contact information with HMI.
Q. Can I set up repeating donations?
A. Yes, that would be great! On the Donate page, see the Become a Sustaining Supporter section. Learn how to donate weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually using your credit card or checking or savings account. You can change or cancel recurring donations any time.
Q. Is there a minimum donation amount?
A. Yes, your donation must be a minimum of $10 to be processed through GiveMN.
Q. Can I specify how HMI may use my donation?
A. Yes. On our donation page, you have several options for designating what your donation will buy. Or, after you hit the Donate button, you can click a box to “Add a designation,” and you can enter how you want us to use your donation.

Q. Is there another way to donate if I don’t want to use my credit card online?
A. Yes. Print out a donation form, and mail it with a check to the address on the form.

Q. What else do I need to know about donating to HMI Blue House?
- We can accept major gifts, such as stocks, mutual funds or life insurance.
- Your employer may also match your donation.
- Your faith community may support the UN Millennium Development Goals by donating to Hope Multipurpose.
- Make a gift donation for a special person or occasion.
